An alternative to 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural (HMF), which is a promising furan derivative that can be used as starting material for the preparation of non-petroleum-derived polymeric materials from sugars, 5-acetoxymethyl-2-furfural (AMF). The less-hydrophilic acetyl group AMF has advantages over hydroxy HMF in terms thermal stability and isolation. In previous studies, fructose been along with lipases enzymatic synthesis AMF. this study, we designed hybrid system includes isomerization esterification glucose into For step-by-step conversion 1,6-diacetylfructose (DAF), glucose-isomerase immobilized lipase (Novozym 435) were enzymes. Furthermore, AMF, direct dehydration DAF was performed using cation exchange resin (Amberlyst 15), combined several industrial solvents, such dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), acetonitrile (AN) dimethylformamide (DMF) order improve final yield determined best solvent conditions.
